Yes. MohandesOS is designed as a bootable live system. Write the ISO to a USB drive, boot from it and use the desktop directly.
Only when persistence is enabled. You can create a normal or LUKS-encrypted persistence partition on the USB.
MohandesOS uses Debian Stable packages and infrastructure underneath while presenting a fully customized MohandesOS boot and desktop experience.
The build can include proprietary NVIDIA packages. Secure Boot may require guided Machine Owner Key enrollment.
